SUZY AMIS (Jennifer)has won applause for her achievements on both the stage and the screen. She currently co-stars in James Cameron's epic film, "Titanic," released by Twentieth Century Fox and Paramount Pictures. Earlier in 1997 she starred in the independent film "Cadillac Ranch."
Amis received significant critical notice for performing the title role in the critically acclaimed film "The Ballad of Little Jo," earning a Best Actress nomination from the Independent Spirit Awards. Her other film credits include starring roles in Bryan Singer's critical and audience hit "The Usual Suspects," the action-adventure "Blown Away," the erotic mystery "Two Small Bodies," "Watch It," and Bruce Beresford's "Rich in Love."
Amis made her feature film debut in 1985 in "Fandango," starring Kevin Costner. She then appeared in the features "The Big Town," "Rocket Gibraltar" and "Plain Clothes." In 1990, she co-starred with Harry Dean Stanton and Crispin Glover in "Twister," and was later reunited with Glover in John Boorman's "Where the Heart Is."
Amis was honored with a Theatre World Award for her performance in "Fresh Horses" on the New York stage. She also earned accolades for her work in the Los Angeles production of "Hurlyburly," in which she starred opposite Sean Penn.
