NATIONWIDE SEARCH STARRING ROLE IN TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX FILM We are currently casting the feature film "My Friend Flicka" for Twentieth Century Fox, being produced by Gil Netter and Directed by Michael Mayer, based on the original novel by Mary O’Hara. Production is scheduled to begin in January 2005. Mindy Marin is the Casting Director in Los Angeles. We are looking for the following: KATY MCLAUGHLIN - She is 14-16 years old. She is an athletic girl, and a dreamer, who shows signs of the great beauty she will one day become. Like her father, she is stubborn to a fault. The one love in her life is horses, and all she longs for is to one day have a colt of her own. It is her driving passion to achieve this goal that causes her to completely neglect her schoolwork and the daily chores of running a ranch. Accomplished and/or Avid Equestrians are encouraged to submit tape as well. STORY LINE – Katy McLaughlin and her father Rob face a fractured relationship when Katy insists on adopting a wild mustang she names Flicka. When Rob sells Flicka, the devastated Katy schemes to secretly enter a dangerous wild horse race, win the prize money, and buy back Flicka's freedom… Please audition on VHS tape all appropriate girls. Please begin each audition with a full body shot of the child, where she states her NAME, HEIGHT AND DATE OF BIRTH. Please chat with her for a bit, asking questions about school, family, friends, etc…trying to really show her personality. Then move in for a close up, keeping the camera at head and shoulders or closer and do the audition scene posted at the link below.
