 |  DAVID E. KELLEY (Producer/Writer) is the multi-award-winning creator of Twentieth Century Fox Television's critically acclaimed dramatic series "Chicago Hope" and "Picket Fences," the esteemed legal drama "The Practice" and the romantic comedy "Ally McBeal."
Kelley also wrote and produced the upcoming feature film Mystery, Alaska, starring Russell Crowe and Burt Reynolds.
A Boston-based attorney, Kelley began writing with the feature film From the Hip which brought him to the attention of "L.A. Law" co-creator Stephen Bochco. He joined "L.A. Law" as a term writer in 1986, and became co-producer the following year, and supervising producer during the show's third season. After Steven Bochco's departure, Kelley earned five Emmy Awards as producer and writer in addition to 13 Emmy Award nominations. "L.A. Law" won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series four out of the five seasons in which Kelley participated.
