MICHAEL VARTAN (Sam Coulson) grabbed the attention of the film world with his performance in the 1993 Italian epic "Fiorile." Born in Paris to a French father and an American mother, Vartan grew up in the tiny Normandy village of Fleury (pop. 300) until the age of 18 when he moved to Los Angeles to live with his mother. Soon thereafter, he enrolled in acting classes and started working both here and in France. NEVER BEEN KISSED marks his first starring role in a studio film after having starred in several independent films including "Myth of Fingerprints" with Julianne Moore and "The Curve" with Keri Russell, both of which premiered at Sundance in 1997 and 1998. Vartans other film credits include "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" and "The Pallbearer."
