  The Auriga is a huge,
foreboding space
station, military vessel, and medical
facility. Three miles long, with extending pods that retract
when it travels, it is sleek and ominous.
The ship is the home of an insidious genetic
experiment resulting
in an alien resurrection. Here is its crew...

is a scientist whose wild enthusiasm has gradually disintegrated into madness. He has developed a paternal relationship with the aliens and will risk anything to save his experiment. Blinded by his passion, he can't see its consequences. is the military commander of the Auriga. He is responsible for the ship and its men. He possesses an old-fashioned sense of order and obedience, but at the same time, is lured by avarice. Perez's weakness leads him to traffic with the crew of the Betty (see last issue).

is a classic soldier with an acute sense of duty. Necessity causes him to rally to the side of the pirate crew and he proves to be a vital asset.

is a doctor who long ago broke his Hippocratic Oath. Cynical, Machiavellian, and disillusioned, his real motivation is money. Wren's interest in the experiment stems from its potential profit, but his love/hate relationship with the crew of the Betty is perhaps due to his unspoken envy of
their adventurous spirit.

the aliens' uber-nemesis, is unwittingly joined with her foe as part of the clandestine experiments conducted on the Auriga. The unsavory union gives rise to certain beneficial side effects and
she becomes an even more formidable warrior than she was in her previous incarnation. Ripley's new powers offer her trenchant insight -- about the issues and herself -- but this knowledge is no gift.

Winona Ryder plays a smuggler aboard the Betty, a ship whose
rendezvous with the Auriga sets off a horrific chain of events in
ALIEN RESURRECTION.
