Producer TRACEY E. EDMONDS makes her motion picture producing debut on SOUL FOOD. She is the president and owner of Yab Yum Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Music. Yab Yum produced all of the music and score for the Academy Award-nominated film Tuesday Morning Ride, which was the only black film nominated for an Oscar® in 1996.

The company features a talented roster of artists, including two-time Grammy-nominee Jon B., whose debut album was certified gold. Yab Yum's roster of writers and producers is also credited with contributing songs to such multi-platinum artists as New Edition, Toni Braxton, After 7, Diana Ross, TLC, Tevin Campbell and many more.

Edmonds is partnered with husband Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds in Edmonds Entertainment, a new production company.

With SOUL FOOD, Executive Producer Kenneth ("Babyface") Edmonds, who has made pop history in a relatively short period of time, now turns his formidable talents to motion picture production.

Babyface was recently honored with twelve Grammy Award nominations. At the 1997 ceremonies he took home three Grammys: Record of the Year for "Change the World" (as producer), as the songwriter of "Exhale" (Shoop Shoop) from the "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack, and as Producer of the Year, also for "Change the World."

Babyface's impeccably-crafted explorations of love, romance and relationships have made an indelible imprint on the evolution of Rhythm and Blues and pop music throughout the world. His debut album, "Tender Lover," containing the popular "Whip Appeal," sold over 2.5 million copies and was certified double-platinum. His second album, "For the Cool in You," released in 1993, was also certified double-platinum, with over two million copies sold. He was the force behind the amazing success of the "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack, which was the No. 1 album in the country for five weeks and sold over seven million copies; the album included three top 10 singles. His fourth album, "The Day," was released in October, 1996.

As an artist, writer and producer, Babyface's chart domination over the past decade verges on the incomparable: he has produced over 90 top 10 R&B and pop hits, with sales of over 20 million singles and over 65 million albums. As a songwriter he has written Grammy-winning and record-breaking songs for some of the music industry's top recording artists including Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, Tevin Campbell, Bobby Brown, Boyz II Men, Madonna, Vanessa L. Williams (with whom he reunites in a different capacity, of course, on SOUL FOOD) and Aretha Franklin.

Babyface is co-owner of LaFace Records, based in Atlanta, and is credited with helping to make that city the "Entertainment Mecca of the South." The LaFace label features a number of talented artists including Toni Braxton, whose debut album was certified multi-platinum as well as the No. 1 album in the U.S.; and the popular pop group TLC, whose debut album was also certified platinum. Babyface's other motion picture soundtrack credits include work on The Pagemaster, Poetic Justice, Boomerang and The Bodyguard.
