| MICHAEL BEACH plays Teri's husband Miles, a lawyer who fosters a strong and compelling desire to become a musician.
Beach is perhaps best known for his recurring role as the husband of series regular Gloria Reuben on "ER" who is living with the AIDS virus. He appeared opposite SOUL FOOD co-star Irma P. Hall in the comedy-drama feature A Family Thing. He was also seen in Waiting to Exhale as Angela Bassett's husband, with John Travolta and Harry Belafonte in White Man's Burden and in the acclaimed thriller One False Move. His additional film credits include Bad Company, True Romance, Robert Altman's Short Cuts, Guilty as Charged, Late for Dinner, Internal Affairs, Lean on Me, The Abyss, Suspect, Streets of Gold and Cadence. In addition to his work on "ER," Beach's television credits include the Showtime movies "Evening Class," "Hit List" and "Another Round," and the CBS telefilms "Open Admissions" and "Vengeance: The Story of Tony Cimo." He also had regular roles on the series "Under Suspicion" and "The Street," and has guest-starred on such shows as "Law and Order," "Street Justice," "Touched by an Angel" and "NYPD Blue." A native of Boston, Beach took first place at the 1982 NAACP National Drama Competition. He was accepted to the renowned Juilliard School in New York where he earned the Drama Award for Outstanding Achievement in 1984. Two years later, he won the New York Shakespeare Festival Award. |
