Among those performing all-new music on the Soul Food soundtrack are such superstar and award-winning artists as En Vogue, Boyz II Men (performing a song written and produced by Babyface entitled For Mama), Tony Toni Toné, Black Street, Jodeci and After Seven (the latter two groups joining Babyface as part of the story's fictional band "Milestone"). The world of rap is represented by the group Outkast and famed producer/performer Sean "Puffy" Combs.
