(Louise) gained worldwide recognition for her portrayal of Nurse ‘Carole Hathaway'
in the top-rated television series "ER." In 1995, she won an Emmy Award for best supporting actress.
In 1996, Margulies was nominated for Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG awards for best supporting actress and
in 1997 was nominated for best leading actress. Her notable film career includes "Traveller,"
opposite Bill Paxton, and "Paradise Road," with Glenn Close and Frances McDormand. Most recently she
completed the drama "A Price Above Rubies," opposite Renee Zellweger.

Born in New York and raised
in England, Margulies began her career on the stage in such notable plays as "Fefu and Her Friends" at
the Yale Repertory Theatre, "The Substance of Fire" at the Aoslo Theatre and "Book of Names" at the
Ensemble Studio Theater in New York.
