DIANA POKORNY (Co-Producer) has collaborated with some of the industry's top directors, including John Sayles, Robert Altman, Lasse Hallstršm, Paul Schrader, Mick Jackson and Nicholas Hytner.
Pokorny attended Antioch College before graduating from the London School of Economics, where she studied modern European history. Although anticipating a career in academia, Pokorny was recruited to work on the production of a student film in New York, which led to a succession of jobs in the film industry.
She worked as a unit manager on several independent films before joining writer-director John Sayles on the production of the critically acclaimed "Matewan." Her subsequent association with producer Mac Brown led to such film credits as "Once Around," "She-Devil," "Light Sleeper" and "Last Exit to Brooklyn."
Pokorny was the production manager for Robert Altman's "Short Cuts" and subsequently line produced "Safe Passage" for director Robert Allan Ackerman. Her recent credits include "Indictment," an award-winning feature directed by Mick Jackson for HBO, "The Crucible," her first film with Nicholas Hytner; and "A Thousand Acres," directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse, and starring Jessica Lange and Michelle Pfeiffer.TM and © 1998 Fox and its related entities.
