OLIVER STAPLETON (Director of Photography) finds the best of both worlds as he continues to work between Great Britain and the United States.
   His longtime collaboration with director Stephen Frears includes seven films: "My Beautiful Launderette," "Prick Up Your Ears," "Sammy and Rosie Get Laid," "The Grifters," "Accidental Hero," "The Snapper" and "The Van."
   Stapleton has worked with director Michael Hoffman on "Restless Natives," "Restoration" and "One Fine Day," and has also photographed three films for director Julien Temple: "The Secret Policeman's Other Ball," "Absolute Beginners" and "Earth Girls Are Easy."
   Among his numerous other credits are "Kansas City" with director Robert Altman, and "She-Devil" and "Cookie," both for director Susan Seidelman.
